We use mobile phones every day and they are invaluable helpers and a source of entertainment. Are you looking for a classic phone with buttons or a smartphone? What should you consider when choosing a new mobile? We'll help you get to the bottom of it all.
We can split mobile phones into categories using various parameters. The biggest difference is between smartphones and classic push-button mobiles. What are the differences and how to navigate the wide range of smartphones?
Smartphones
Smartphones have an operating system (OS) that allows you to install applications, surf the internet, manage your emails and play multimedia. Currently, the most widely used smartphone operation systems are Google Android or Apple iOS.

While the Android OS powers smartphones from a wide range of brands, iOS is exclusive to Apple iPhones.
Button Mobile Phones
Button phones without an OS offer basic functions, including calling, texting and an alarm clock. These classic phones give you an extended battery life and are also suitable as a first phone for children or as a mobile phone for the elderly.
Rugged phones, with or without an OS, have increased resistance to shock, dust and water.
How to Navigate the Wide Range of Smartphones?
Smartphones come in a wide range of designs. They vary in their operating system, size, features and, last but not least, price. So what should you look for when choosing a smartphone?
The type of operating system is the most important parameter for many users. Do you want Android or iOS?
Phone performance is decided by its processor. Powerful mobiles are suitable for demanding multitasking or gaming.
Choose the size and resolution of the display according to how you will use your mobile phone. A larger diagonal is great for watching multimedia. However, make sure that it fits in your hand and pocket.
Smartphone dimensions go hand in hand with the size of the display. Compact phones can fit in every pocket, but they don't bring the same comfort when watching movies or videos.
Mobile phone cameras and their functionality are important, especially if you like to take photos and make videos. The number and type of lenses together with their resolution play a major role.
Mobile Phone and Operating Systems
Mobile phones are distinguished according to their operating systems. The most widely used smartphone systems are Android and iOS, both of which have their fans and detractors. What are their main advantages and disadvantages?
Android Smartphones
Android smartphones are the most widespread in the mobile market—there are hundreds to choose from. You can filter your selection by manufacturer and price.
iPhones that run on iOS are only made by Apple. As a result, these phones are perfectly optimised and among the highest quality products on the market.
Perfect optimisation.
Work seamlessly with other Apple devices.
High performance, top-quality design and smartphone camera.
Higher purchase price.
Less opportunity to customise the environment.

Mobile Phone Performance
Besides the operating system, mobile phones also differ in performance. And when it comes to performance, you can't help but mention the processor—the CPU is the heart of every smartphone and takes care of the system and features. The most important parameter is the number of processor cores and their frequency. In general, the more cores a processor has, the more powerful it is. The higher the frequency, the faster it works. A good processor can also extend a phone's service life.

5G phones support the latest mobile internet network standard, which replaces LTE.
How Much RAM Do Mobile Phones Need?
The size of RAM is important for mobile phones to make sure the OS operates smoothly. If you multitask or play demanding games, your phone will need more RAM.
1 to 4GB RAM is enough for regular use, internet surfing and undemanding multitasking.
6GB to 8GB RAM is a standard amount of internal memory for lower-medium range phones. It gives you enough performance for heavy use.
More than 8GB of RAM can be found in high-performance and flagship models. It's perfect for the most demanding users.
Mobile Phone —Which Display Size?
Mobile phones feature displays with diagonal sizes starting from less than 5 inches. Along with the diagonal, it is also important to consider the display resolution, which affects image quality, and the aspect ratio, which determines the shape of the screen.
Mobiles with a display up to 5" offer compact dimensions and convenient one-handed operation.
Mobiles with 5.1" to 5.9" displays offer a compromise between comfortable control and multimedia experience.
Mobiles with a display larger than 6" are ideal for watching movies and videos or working online.
Mobile Phone Display Resolution
An important parameter of a mobile phone display is its resolution. This indicates the number of pixels per inch and indicates the fineness of images. Today's mobiles often have Full HD or QHD resolution.
Is it a phone? is it a tablet? No, it's a phablet! Phones with a display larger than 5.5" are often referred to as phablets.
Mobile Phone Cameras — Important Features
Today, people often use their mobile phones as a camera phone. In addition to sensor resolution, the quality of phone cameras is also influenced by the maximum luminosity, image stabilisation and the type of focusing.
Mobile phone camera resolution refers to the number of pixels that make up the final image.
Maximum aperture (f) indicates the maximum amount of light that a lens can transmit.
Optical Image Stabilisation allows you to capture blur-free images even when you move.
Software Image Stabilisation enhances image sharpness by adjusting ISO sensitivity. Not as effective as optical.
Laser Focus enables extra-fast focusing on the selected subject.
Dual camera can speed up focusing, increase luminosity and adjust depth of field.
Wide-angle lenses capture a larger slice of the scene than a conventional lens.
Optical zoom allows you to zoom in on the scene by adjusting the position of the lens.
Digital zoom can zoom in on a scene by cropping a portion of the image and then enlarging it.
Variable aperture ensures perfect images in all conditions thanks to the adjustable aperture (f).
Time-of-flight camera uses infrared light to determine the distance of individual objects.

Mobile Phone and Storage Capacity
What internal storage capacity should your new mobile phone have? Choose based on the amount of data you wish to store on it.
Mobiles with 64GB memory can hold enough apps, games and multimedia, including HD movies.
Mobiles with 12GB storage can hold dozens of apps or hours of high-quality multimedia.
A typical smartphone has a battery capacity between 3000 and 5000mAh, which should give you a day or two of normal use. A higher battery capacity promises longer battery life even with heavy use.
Push-button phones have batteries with significantly lower capacities yet they give you several days of use per charge because they don't have large displays or other power-hungry components.
Desk Phones and Corporate Telephones
The mobiles in our offer are also complemented by desk phones. These are divided into wired and wireless, push-button and touch. There are also corporate telephones that focus on enhanced security, backup and remote management.
Mobile Phones from Basic to Premium—Breakdown by Price

Before buying a mobile phone, it’s important to know what type of phone you require. Do you want a simple device for making calls and writing short text messages or a powerful machine with a touch-screen display, a high-end camera, fingerprint scanner, Internet connection and wireless charging? You’ll find the former in basic mobile phones and the latter in the smartphones section.
Smartphones are basically pocket computers with the ability to make phone calls. Individual models vary greatly, so you can choose from budget-friendly options as well as powerful pocket machines. These days even cheaper smartphones feature a touch screen, a built-in camera, and can handle simple games, video and music playback, and social networking.
In contrast, more demanding users will reach for high-end smartphones featuring a high-quality 5-inch (and higher) display, an 8-Core processor, a fingerprint scanner, and an advanced camera, all of which makes it a perfect device for watching movies, browsing the Internet, playing demanding games, or using the built-in GPS navigation.
All smartphones run an operating system of some kind. The most widespread operating systems include Google’s Android, which provides a wide range of apps on Google Play; Apple’s polished iOS, which is featured on all iPhones; and Microsoft’s Windows Phone OS, which features an intuitive tile interface and Windows Store with plenty of useful apps. All of the above are popular choices and allow you to personalise your device for the best user experience.
Despite their many advantages, smartphones often have lower battery life compared with more basic phones, with one charge providing only 1-3 days of operation.
Basic mobile phones
Basic mobile phones have some undisputed qualities and for some users they’re a more suitable fit than smartphones. The battery life is much longer, so you don’t need to charge it every night, and the simple-to-use design with push buttons ensures straightforward operation.
