The LEGRAND UPS Keor SPE Rack/Tower 2U 1000VA backup power supply, with its line-interactive topology, provides an apparent power of 1000VA and a real power of 800W. This 2U rack-mounted device supplies power to connected systems for 3 minutes at full load, giving you enough time to safely save your data. The 440mm deep design allows for flexible installation in either a vertical or horizontal position. The design allows for flexible vertical and horizontal placement depending on the space available in your server room, while the IP20 rating ensures basic chassis durability. The integrated automatic voltage regulation (AVR) compensates for fluctuations in the distribution network ranging from 175V to 288V without switching to battery operation. It provides a stable output voltage of 208–240V with distortion of up to 3% for linear loads. This system effectively extends battery life and stabilises the power supply to sensitive electronics.

Topology and performance

The backup power supply uses line-interactive topology, which stabilises network fluctuations without unnecessarily draining the batteries. The output power factor is 0.8 and the overall efficiency reaches 82%. When operating in the energy-saving ECO mode, the system works with a high efficiency of 98%, which reduces both operating costs and heat loss.

Battery and protection

Inside the device are 3 hermetically sealed VRLA lead-acid batteries, which supply power in the event of a primary network failure. The system protects against deep battery discharge and offers a potential-free switching contact. A useful automatic shutdown function protects connected devices from damage during a prolonged power outage.

Management and monitoring

For easy integration into your company's infrastructure, the device features integrated network management, a USB communication interface, and a slot for an SNMP card. The clear LCD display on the front panel shows the current operating status, load level, and battery capacity. Users get an instant overview of the power status directly on the display or remotely via the network interface.

The universal chassis, with a height of 88mm, corresponds to the standard dimensions for installation in 19" racks, taking up 2U of space. The total weight of the device is 16.8kg, with a depth of 440mm and a width of 440mm. The cooling system is designed for reliable operation in temperatures ranging from 0 to 40°C. The noise level of 50dB is consistent with standard operating parameters in data centres and server rooms.

Connectivity and sockets

The input connection for the backup power supply is a standard IEC C14 connector. For power distribution to connected servers and network elements, there are 8 IEC C13 output sockets. The package also includes one IEC Jumper cable for direct connection to other network components. The rear panel features eight C13 output connectors, which allow you to power multiple network elements simultaneously from a single source.
