Levenhuk Ra 250N Dobsonian telescope

Levenhuk Ra 250N Dobsonian telescope
The Levenhuk Ra 250N Dobsonian is a Newtonian reflector with a primary mirror diameter of 250 mm. The telescope's optics allow detailed observations of thousands of deep space objects, that can't be observed with small aperture telescopes. You can also use the telescope to explore near space. For example, you can observe tiny structures on the surface of Mars, details in the atmosphere of Jupiter, the Encke gap on the rings of Saturn and even Neptune's orbiter, Triton. This is an excellent optical instrument for visual observation of the universe, and is best suited for trips to the countryside. The telescope kit contains basic accessories that allow you to start observing immediately. The 9 mm and 30 mm eyepieces are ideal for the first introduction to deep space. The 8×50 mm optical viewfinder allows you to search for objects.

Key Features of the Levenhuk Ra 250N Dobsonian
- High aperture reflector ideal for deep space observation
- Newtonian telescope with a focal length of 1250 mm
- Parabolic primary mirror eliminates distortion even at extreme magnification
- Special aluminium coating with a reflectivity index of 92-96%
- Active optics cooling for faster temperature stabilization
- User-friendly and easy to assemble Dobson type assembly
- Crayford two-speed ocular lift
- Bearing on the side of the braking system for smooth tube movement
- Manual telescope control
Dobson type mounting with improved bearing on the brake system side
The Dobson type assembly is easy to install and operate. It reliably holds the optical tube and allows you to make long-term observations with maximum comfort. The movement of the tube is so smooth that viewing high magnification objects is very comfortable. Special bearing on the side of the braking system for smooth tube movement allows the optical tube to be moved up or down a few centimetres. Scales are located on the sides of the assembly for convenient balancing. In addition, the bearings have a more robust design (compared to conventional bearings) and thus run smoothly throughout their lifetime.

Parabolic main mirror
The parabolic main mirror produces a clear image without optical distortion even at extreme magnification. Its surface is coated with an aluminium coating that reflects 92-96% of light to improve image quality. Thanks to the Crayford's two-speed eyepiece lift, focus can be adjusted continuously.

Active optics cooling
The primary mirror includes a battery operated cooling system (not included). If the telescope is moved from a warm room to a cold street and vice versa, it will take several hours for the optics to cool down. The built-in fan cuts temperature stabilization almost in half.
