The Lian Li LANCOOL 217 Midi Tower PC case offers a spacious interior for building powerful gaming rigs and workstations. The design supports a wide range of motherboards from Mini-ITX to SSI-EEB and E-ATX and offers flexible options for component installation. Construction and materials

The case uses a solid steel construction with extensive perforated panels that support maximum airflow. The side panel is made of 4mm tempered glass, which provides a view of your build. Inside the case, there's plenty of space for powerful components. You can fit a CPU cooler with a maximum height of 180mm and graphics cards up to 380mm long. A total of seven horizontal slots are available for expansion cards. The case is designed for freestanding placement.

Cooling

The manufacturer has fitted the case with five fans to ensure optimal cooling. The design also offers a total of nine fan positions, including the option to install up to three 120mm or 140mm fans in the front panel, three 120mm or two 140mm fans at the top, and additional positions on the PSU shroud. The case is also ready for liquid cooling, with the top section supporting the installation of 240, 280, or 360mm radiators, enabling you to build a powerful yet quiet cooling solution.

Hard drive storage options

The case is designed with a focus on versatile storage solutions. You can mount up to two 2.5" SSDs behind the motherboard mounting plate, or one drive when using a motherboard with Back-Connect technology. Another 2.5" SSD slot is integrated into the power supply shroud, where it remains easily accessible and maintains a tidy interior without disrupting airflow.

Drive cages and power supply placement

The case is equipped with two drive cages designed for high-capacity storage. Each cage accommodates one 3.5" hard drive and one 2.5" SSD, or two 3.5" HDDs or two 2.5" SSDs, which provides high flexibility when configuring your build. The ATX power supply is located at the bottom of the case under a separate shroud, which isolates the PSU from other components, contributing to more efficient cooling and making cable management easier.

Front I/O panel and dust protection

The connectors for peripherals are located on the side of the front panel and include two USB 3.0 (USB 3.2 Gen 1) ports, one USB-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The case is equipped with dust filters to protect the internal components. For convenient control, there are two separate power buttons. One is on top of the case for easy access when placed on the floor, and the other is integrated into the side I/O panel for comfortable use when placed on a desk.
