This food supplement combines glucosamine sulphate (1,500mg) and chondroitin sulphate (1,200mg) with two plant extracts — 100mg of Boswellia serrata resin extract and 100mg of turmeric (Curcuma longa) rhizome extract. The glucosamine sulphate is derived from the chitin shells of crustaceans, and the chondroitin sulphate from bovine cartilage. The product is made in the EU and is gluten-free.
Active Ingredients
- Glucosamine sulphate is a salt of the amino sugar glucosamine, which occurs naturally in the human body. For the production of food supplements, it is obtained from the chitin shells of marine crustaceans (shrimps, crabs and others).
- Chondroitin sulphate is a polysaccharide from the glycosaminoglycan group, naturally present in the connective tissues of mammals. For the production of food supplements, it is typically obtained from bovine cartilage.
- Boswellia serrata is a tree from the Burseraceae family, which grows in the dry regions of the Horn of Africa and India. The resin of this tree has been used in the Ayurvedic tradition for thousands of years.
- Turmeric (Curcuma longa) is a perennial tropical plant from the ginger family. Its dried rhizome is a traditional part of South Asian cuisine and also an ingredient in Ayurvedic and Chinese phytotherapy.
