Effective relief from heavy and swollen feet
Lioton® gel is a medicinal product designed to relieve the feeling of tired, heavy and swollen feet. Contains heparin sodium, a substance with anti-inflammatory and anticoagulant effect. Lioton® counteracts swelling and thus relieves the pain caused by swelling. It is suitable for adult patients and can also be used in long-term therapy.
How does Lioton® work?
After application, the gel is absorbed into the skin and acts directly at the application site. Heparin is a natural substance which, when applied topically, reduces the formation of blood clots. Lioton® thus helps to improve tissue regeneration and soothes inflammatory symptoms.

How is Lioton® gel applied?
Apply a sufficient amount of gel (depending on the size of the affected area, usually 3-10 cm) directly to the skin 1-3 times a day and rub gently. The gel smells pleasant and absorbs well.

Dosage
Always use this medicine exactly as directed in the package insert or by your doctor or pharmacist. If you are unsure, consult your doctor or pharmacist. Apply a 3-10 cm long strip of the gel once or three times a day to the skin on the affected area and spread gently to facilitate absorption. The usual duration of treatment is 2-3 weeks.
Ingredients
The active substance is heparin sodium (one gram of gel contains 1000 IU of heparin sodium). Excipients are: purified water, ethanol 96%, Carbomer, trolamine, orange bitter lemon blossom aroma (containing linalool, d-limonen, geraniol, citral, citronella essential oil and farnesol), lavender essential oil (containing linalool, geraniol and coumarin), methylparaben (E218) and propylparaben (E216).
Contraindications
Read the package insert carefully. The preparation must not be used in case of hypersensitivity to heparin or any other substance contained in the preparation. Adequate data on the use of the product in pregnancy or during lactation are not available, therefore pregnant and lactating women should only take it after consulting a physician.
