Medicamenta Magnesii lactici 0.5 tbl belongs to the group of magnesium preparations that replenishes the reduced level of magnesium in the body.
Glenmark Magnesii lactici 0.5 tbl Medicamenta is used to prevent the development of magnesium deficiency, which can accompany a number of diseases: diabetes, viral hepatitis, liver function disorders in alcoholism, liver function disorders accompanying certain other diseases.
You can also tell if your muscles are deficient in magnesium by muscle cramps, which occur mainly at night. Magnesium not only contributes to normal muscle function, but it is also needed in energy metabolism and electrolyte balance.

Dosage and method of use
Adults:
For preventive administration, usually 2-3 tablets per day. In the indication for the treatment of hypomagnesemia (reduced levels of magnesium in the body) 6 tablets per day. In other indications, including replacement therapy (a method of treatment in which a substance is replaced) 4 tablets per day.
Children from 6 years old:
1-2 tablets per day
Adults and children swallow the recommended dose whole with sufficient liquid. Adults, adolescents and children take the preparation between meals.
Contraindications
Not intended for children under 6 years of age. Do not take if you are allergic to magnesium lactate dihydrate or any other ingredient in this product, if you have elevated levels of magnesium in your body (hypermagnesaemia), severe renal insufficiency, and myasthenia gravis (a condition manifested by marked muscle weakness). Read the package insert carefully.
Ingredients
The active substance is magnesii lactas dihydricus (magnesium lactate dihydrate) 0.500 g in 1 tablet.
Excipients are lactose monohydrate, potato starch, gelatin, talc, magnesium stearate and croscarmellose sodium.
