Martell VSOP 0,7l 40%

Martell VSOP 0,7l 40%
The French cognac house Martell is one of the oldest in the world. It was founded back in 1715, during the reign of Louis XIII, whose portrait you will find on the bottle. It was then that Jean Martell, a young merchant from Jersey in the Channel Islands, decided to set up his business in the Cognac region, on the banks of the Charente river. He made his cognacs from the finest grapes from the Borderie cru, ageing them in oak barrels made from wood from the renowned Tronçais forest. Word of his exquisite product soon spread beyond the country's borders. Martell cognacs became number one in England, and a century later they also conquered the Asian markets. Today, they are enjoyed all over the world.
Composition and flavour
Martell VSOP is a perfectly balanced blend of mature cognacs, which has borrowed a beautiful golden amber colour and the aroma of fruit and spices from its time in the barrels. You will find fresh notes of lime, sweet liquorice, quince, raisins, plums and oak wood with a hint of nuts. On the palate, this delicacy is round, fruity and full-bodied, with an endlessly long finish.
Serving suggestion
It works wonderfully as a base for mixed drinks, such as a Sidecar, but you can also enjoy it on its own or on the rocks. Cheers!
