Safety of i-Size car seats

I-Size, Regulation R129, is car seat legislation that uses a new way of crash testing infant and child car seats, including a new side impact test. The i-Size seats are selected based on the height of the child to ensure that the child is the right size for the seat. i-Size car seats are considered the safest, with improved head and neck protection. Side impact test results are evaluated as part of the i-Size standard. The i-Size safety tests are carried out using advanced Q-dummies, which have more sensors than the dummies used for the R44 test.
