i-Size (R129) – the modern safety standard for child car seats
i-Size, or Regulation R129, is car seat legislation that uses a new method for crash testing car seats for infants and children, including a new side-impact test. i-Size car seats are selected based on the child's height to ensure the child is the correct size for the car seat. i-Size safety tests are carried out using advanced Q-series dummies, which have more sensors than the dummies used in the R44 test.
Warning:
Only install the seat in a forward-facing position. This seat is only suitable for installation in cars that have a three-point retractor seat belt that meets the requirements of UN/ECE Regulation No. 16. Do not install the seat in a position with active airbags. Follow the instructions and recommendations in the user manual.
