The nasal aspirator is intended for children under 3 years of age who cannot sniff on their own. It is used to suction excessive mucus from the child's nasal cavity, which can cause coughing or ear infections. This is a manual type of suction pump.

After disinfection, a tube with a nasal tip is attached to the nostril from which the mucus needs to be suctioned. The end of the second tube is inserted into the mouth and after sealing the nostrils, the person suctioning sucks the mucus into the suction chamber. After the suction is finished, the suction pump is disassembled - the cap is removed from the chamber and disinfection is performed again.
