Tea leaves are picked by hand
The tea leaves of Hampstead Tea BIO come from the Indian tea garden Makaibari in the Darjeeling region. Tea began to be grown in the tea garden as early as 1859, and the first family tea processing factory in the world is located here. Tea leaves are picked by hand. Makaibari uses a biodynamic method of farming, which emphasizes the high natural quality of raw materials and the long-term sustainability of production in the area. Farmers manage natural resources carefully and return nutrients to the soil naturally. Makaibari therefore has a biodynamic farming certificate.
