Preparation
There is no fixed rule for the amount of tea leaves per cup; everyone has to find the ideal ratio for themselves. It is recommended to use one teaspoon per person and cup. Tea should always be steeped in boiling water in a porcelain cup with an integrated strainer and lid to preserve the aroma. Some places let the tea leaves " rest" in the steam before they are poured with water. Due to its lower tannin content, Georgian tea has a softer and more delicate flavor than teas from tropical regions, so you can steep it longer (5 minutes or more) to get the full flavor and all the beneficial substances without the bitterness. For children, pregnant women and people sensitive to caffeine, we recommend preparing using the second infusion method, which reduces the caffeine content.
