Historical noir from the pen of a Swedish aristocrat
1794, Stockholm. A mother mourns her daughter murdered on her wedding night. But no one listens to her suspicions, so she asks the only one left for help: a one-armed dragon mourning the death of a friend. Meanwhile, in a hospital on the periphery, a young aristocrat is tormented by thoughts of the terrible crime he is accused of.
In 1794, the second volume of Niklas Natt och Dag's historical noir trilogy, the reader once again encounters Mickel Cardell, Anna Stina Knapp and the chaotic, rotten world of the late eighteenth century. Stockholm is facing its darkest days - the veneer of the old days is crumbling, giving way to the darkness lurking in the city's corners.
The publication of the book was supported by the Swedish Arts Council.
