A case for CSI

Even a seasoned perpetrator is forced by circumstances to tell the truth - this is what the new crime cases of Ladislav Beran, an emeritus commissioner of the criminal service in Písek, who has been one of the stalwarts of Czech detective fiction for years, are all about. Aries tells them with his typical kindness, tension, humour and understanding for people of all kinds. Yes, these are sinful people, sometimes bad, while the author, who knows the criminal underworld intimately, he does not forget the intrinsic motivations of all the various torments and ugly deeds of the gallery of Písek. His well-known criminalistics team - Karas, Studnička, Mach, Čtveráková, Vandová and others - is nipping at the heels of all the criminals.
