A gem engraver

A breathtaking ballad of love between heaven and earth, of beauty and intoxication, of crime and punishment.

About the Wizard of the Wild Lake, who fulfilled the ancient dream of all alchemists and created an immortal man, about a girl endowed with the ability to see into her past lives, and about lovers who experienced the most beautiful beauty of all beauties together. Once, a hundred years ago…

This is Ivan Fíla's new book, The Cameo Engraver, a fairytale for adults full of magic and fantasy that you won't put down until the story leaves the enchanted darkness. It will take you to a flowering meadow illuminated by the spring sun, where the secret of life and death lingers.

At the Frankfurt Book Fair, foreign publishers declared that The Cameo Engraver has the potential of Harry Potter, the mystery of Dan Brown, and the mysticism of the Golem.

Ivan Fíla is the author of the bestseller The Man Who Stood in the Way, which tells the life story of František Kriegel.
