A Little Life

When four university classmates from Massachusetts move to New York to try and make their way, they’re broke, adrift, and buoyed only by their friendship and ambition. There is kind, handsome Willem, an aspiring actor; sharp, sometimes cruel JB, a painter hoping to break into the art world; Malcolm, a frustrated architect at a prestigious firm; and withdrawn, brilliant, enigmatic Jude, who serves as their centre of gravity... A Little Life is a story about sexual orientation, abuse and self-harm, about love and sacrifice, cruelty and the inability to fight fate.
