A Monster Calls - DVD

Thirteen-year-old Conor creeps into nightmares. And somehow not - his mother is seriously ill, his father lives somewhere overseas in America, his grandmother is still sandblasting him and his classmates bullying him. He seems to be alone in everything. Well, almost alone. At night, always shortly after midnight, he is visited by a monster - a giant walking and talking old tree that grows on a hill behind the house. He gradually tells Conor three ancient stories and teaches him that things are often not what they seem.
