A pass to freedom

A historical fresco set against the backdrop of Scottish, English, and New World history, its protagonists are young people on an adventurous journey to freedom… Since he can remember, young Mack has longed for freedom; he loves the green hills of Scotland and dreams of a little white house, children, and a wife. However, he is a miner, and miners belong to the landowner. Lizzie, a landowner's daughter, used to play with Mack as a child, but the innocence of their childhood games has blossomed into a deep affection that no one approves of. Their fates intertwine, whether in Scotland, bustling London, or eventually in distant Virginia. Will they manage to fulfil their dreams of love and freedom, or will they succumb to the hatred and fear of the powerful?
