A passionate mayor who was a clever one

When Julie sets her mind to something, things start to happen

The author of the legendary The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared is back with another typically Jonasson-esque story. People all over the world are sleeping in the most comfortable Traumbett beds from Hamburg. Well, almost all over the world. The German manufacturer has so far failed to break into Scandinavia. The new boss, Konrad Kaltenbacher Jr., decides to change that. But his plans are interrupted (and certainly not on tiptoe) by the energetic mayor of the small Swedish town of Halstaholm. Julie knows that eight hundred jobs can turn a sleepy backwater into the centre of the world. And when Julie sets her mind to something, things start to happen. Jonas Jonasson delivers another fast-paced and playful novel about stubbornness, friendship, and how with a little audacity, you can achieve the almost impossible.
