Abdominal and gastrointestinal radiology

The publication is aimed at radiologists in postgraduate studies, but will also be useful for other doctors in imaging departments, gastroenterologists, internists, surgeons and related specialisms. The richly illustrated book (574 images) was written by a team of experts led by Prof. Vlastimil Válek, MD, CSc., MBA, EBIR.
The publication is the first title in a book series on abdominal gastrointestinal radiology. The books are dedicated to individual abdominal organs – and should significantly help in making a diagnosis.

The authors provide a clear summary of most pathologies affecting the liver that a radiologist may encounter. In addition to basic and relatively common conditions, they have also included relatively rare diseases treated mainly in specialised centres. The text in each chapter is supplemented with images illustrating the typical signs of specific diseases. For the most common pathologies, less typical images are also included.

Important for establishing a diagnosis is the chapter that summarises all the information presented in the form of practical examples and instructions on how to proceed in model situations.
