About Parents and Children - DVD

The son (David Novotný) is a mature man in his forties and lives happily with his girlfriend. His father (Josef Somr), a doctor of natural sciences, is over seventy. A classic intellectual in a good way. Seemingly the only thing that unites these two men is that they go for a walk through Prague together once a month. In a brilliantly conducted dialogue, the history of the twentieth century and all its absurdities are revealed. The deepest places of human relationships are revealed. The old restlessness, sorrows and joys are revealed. Vnuk, of whom Syn had no idea for over twenty years, appears on the scene. And some mistakes are repeated again and again.

Interesting fact: The appearance of both actors (David Novotný and Luboš Kostelný) is really incredible and David Novotný adds one pearl. "I dubbed Luboš Kostelný into Czech in the series The Rescuers, which Vladimír directed. So I knew about it "in advance". While he didn't give me anything, because I just don't run in Slovakia. Our first meeting went something like this. Luboš looked at me, froze, turned to Vladimir and said incoherently: What about this one? Well, this! Well, that's what you make of me.
