Adelheid

A love story with timeless meaning: the drama of the strange love between Viktor Chotovitsky, a member of the foreign resistance, and Adelheid Heidenmann, the daughter of a Nazi leader. Immediately after the war in the North Moravian border village of Schwarzbach - Černá Voda, fate brings two lonely people together. But the more the internally tormented Viktor tries to get closer to the closed Adelheid, the more he escapes. Contradictory times do not favour love, reconciliation with oneself or between nations. An audiobook adaptation of František Vláčil's film of the same name, which is now one of the key works of modern Czech literature.
