AG Flek: Podnohama Zem - CD

The 2018 album 'Podnohama Zem' was released eighteen years after the CD 'Waltz'. The Czech folk legend AG Flek is once again built around the founding trio of Blanka Táborská, Ivo Viktorin, and Karel Markytán, and their beautiful, distinctive voices and vocals.

Songwriting duties for the album were split between Ivo Viktorin and Karel Markytán. Each wrote five songs that reflect their individual musical sensibilities and lyrical styles. Blanka was given two songs from each, so the songwriters each sing three, and then there's an eleventh joint track from the period of their first album, sung by the lyricist Karel Markytán, naturally with the beautiful AG Flek choir. The title track, 'Podnohama Zem', symbolically concludes everything that has been experienced, without pathos, with lightness and energy, and above all, with the perspective of seasoned observers of the world.
The founding trio is accompanied on the recording by Michal Vašíček on guitars, Josef Šobáň on bass guitar, and David Velčovský on drums. Furthermore, the 'Podnohama Zem' recording boasts outstanding sound quality. Ivo Viktorin's renowned Studio V worked on this new AG Flek release for several years, and the result has been polished into a sonic diamond.
