Allman Gregg: Southern Blood (2017) - CD

The 69-year-old founding member of the Allman Brothers Band, who helped define southern rock at the turn of the 1960s and 1970s, after a motorcycle accident, in which his brother - an excellent guitarist Duane - was killed, took on the role of frontman of the group, inducted into the Rock of Fame in 1995, but he also recorded solo albums at the same time, exceptionally lousy, which is true for Two The Hard Way (1977), which they put together with their then wife Cher as Allman And Woman, but more often great than the still last Low Country Blues (2011), Grammy nominated for Best Blues Album.
This group also includes a posthumous novelty, which is announced in the video for Allman' s only song My Only True Friend (the original is also Love Like Kerosene by the guitarist of Allman' s band Scott Sharrard). Among the ten songs, blues standards and cover versions, several times from the 70' s, predominate, as is the case with Dylan' s Going Going Gone or Song For Adam from Jackson Browne' s debut, who edited a duet here with Allman.
