Alms only for the rich

This gripping novel charts the lives of two very different women whose story began in seemingly identical ways: soon lost their family and had to fend for themselves, which they were not prepared for by their upbringing. They each chose a different path, but when their fates intersected, one of them paid with her life. The death of a beautiful rich lady seems at first like an unfortunate coincidence. However, it will soon become apparent it's murder, whose roots go far back into the past, and the search for the motive reveals not only old secrets, but also a story of great love, of hatred and a boundless lust for power.
