Amadeus Director's Cut - Blu-ray

In this new, digitally edited form, which also includes over 20 minutes of originally cut scenes, the famous Amadeus, a gem of world cinema, is released again, presenting a wonderful spectacle about the time and especially the phenomenon that was Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The film won 8 Oscars® ** for 1984, including Best Film (produced by Saul Zaentz) Best Actor (F. Murray Abraham) Best Director (Miloš Forman) and Best Screenplay (Peter Shaffer - based on his play). In Vienna in 1781, court composer Antonio Salieri (Abraham) is possessed by an immense jealousy that grows into madness after he realises that his divine musical talent is forever denied him, a gift similarly given to the uncouth and insolent Mozart (Tom Hulce). Salieri is determined to destroy his rival by any means necessary. The filmmaking and the perfect music are combined here in a charming work.
