In response to the school closures, we immediately launched a new assistance programme, providing one-off aid of CZK 2,000 to the most vulnerable parents (intended as emergency aid for food and medicine), because receiving only 60% of their attendance allowance after several weeks could be ruinous for many single parents.

Emergency Assistance Programme for Single Parents
Shopping for the Children of Single Parents
During the first week, we processed almost 50 applications, and new ones are coming in all the time. So far, we have approved everyone who meets the conditions (i.e., those who have lost part of their income due to the current situation, and in some cases, all of it – for those on Agreements to Complete a Job, Agreements to Perform Work, etc.). We have allocated CZK 200,000 for this assistance, meaning we can help 100 applicants. We are grateful to all contributors who are enabling our target group to survive this difficult period. Of course, we continue to welcome any support from the public, and if the amount increases, the number of support payments disbursed will also increase.

Support Our Assistance Programme
This is a photo from one of the mothers, which she sent to us along with her thanks. She is one of many single parents we are helping as part of our current campaign, where we provide financial support to those who have found themselves in financial hardship due to the current situation. A large proportion of single parents cannot afford to regularly buy fruit and vegetables for their children. For CZK 2,000, a single-parent family with a child or children can buy food for entire weeks.
