In some ways, Milona Čepelka's new collection of short stories seems to follow its predecessor Svědectví inspektor Toufar /and other short stories/, but it is more intimate than its two years older "sister". The central theme is again the departure from our world (which does not necessarily mean death), but this time the author has focused his attention on us, "ordinary" mortals. Leaving (just add a single letter, and turns into forgiveness), reconciliation, but also humor, these are the variables of the Chepelka equations with one unknown, who is the ruler of the netherworld.
Whether its messenger is a droning airplane, a promiscuous student, a trio of evil dwarves, the voices of those who are already "there", a bullied aunt or a girl, that can (let) disappear, you will definitely not be bored. In one short story, you are even visited by death itself - and even she is quite a pleasant partner for the last conversation.
