And the Foundation is born

It's been more than seventy years since the grandmaster of the SF genre, Isaac Asimov, began building the universe of his globally successful Foundation series. Since then, millions of readers have been fascinated by a gripping story that has spanned thousands of years of humanity's future development and taken them to dozens of alien worlds. The novel A Foundation is Born was completed just before the author's death as the seventh and final part of the novel saga, which won the renowned Hugo Award for Best Science Fiction Series of All Time. In previous volumes, Hari Seldon, the brilliant founder of the Foundation, was a mere historical figure. By returning to the time of his life, Asimov has filled in an important missing part of his epic story.
The author has made no secret of the fact that he created the character of Hari Seldon as his own alter ego, and so the novel is all the more poignant for the fact that Asimov's death of Seldon concludes the entire cycle just shortly before his own. So let us enter the world of the Foundation for the seventh and last time and learn the hitherto hidden facts of the gifted mathematician who tried to save mankind from the irrevocably approaching dark age.
