Angel of the Lord - DVD

It's early in the morning, on Christmas Eve, and all of heaven is getting ready for the magnificent celebration of Jesus's birthday. But the angel Petronel just seems to get under everyone's feet. Whatever he touches, he ruins, yet he never admits his mistakes, turning all the saints against him. The only one who still has any patience with him is God himself, but Petronel eventually offends him too.

As punishment, he is sent down to the mortal world to redeem a single sinner, otherwise on Christmas Day he will end up as a fallen angel in hell. A terrified Petronel, transformed into a beggar, goes among mortals and tries to find his sinner to redeem. With the help of a magical devil's pouch belonging to his guide, Uriah, he causes a great deal of trouble and brings misfortune upon the charming and kind-hearted maid, Dorotka. However, he fails to redeem any sinners. Time is running out, and the moment of Petronel's fall into hell draws near.
But the power of human love, unwavering hope, and help from all the saints eventually manage to fix everything Petronel has ruined. The angel Petronel is able to return to heaven among the choir of saints and angels – for at the last minute, he managed to redeem his sinner. Himself.
