Arthur Schnitzler: Miss Elsa

A story of purity of soul and devotion leading to the brink of death. The young Elsa is unexpectedly faced with the crucial decision of whether to sacrifice herself to save her father. Like the author's other works, it stands out for its sensitivity to the emotional world of its characters, the dreamy elegance of the early 1900s and the musicality of its language. A short story by Arthur Schnitzler, a representative of Viennese modernism, starring Eva Horká.
