Artway Thom: Hedgehog (2016) - CD

It's no exaggeration to say that Thom Artway can confidently stand alongside the mature singer-songwriter personalities of the Anglo-Saxon music scene. The album naturally includes the aforementioned hits I Have No Inspiration and Blind Man. For the duet Time To Think It Over, Artway enlisted Oscar-winner Markéta Irglová.

In 2015, singer THOM ARTWAY captivated the entire Czech Republic with his single I Have No Inspiration. Alongside Light & Love and Sebastian, he became the most prominent representative of the emerging wave of young musicians responding to the global interest in the sincere and authentic work of modern singer-songwriters. Much like Ed Sheeran, James Bay, or Hozier, he moves between folk, rock, and pop, appearing natural and modest. He gains experience through busking, where the contact with the audience is immediate and more intense. He comes from the small village of Vlachovice in the Wallachia region. He studied at a technical lyceum, but after graduating, he moved to Prague to pursue music. He briefly went to Ireland to improve his English while working on a farm, and in November 2013, he recorded his debut EP, Still Standing In The Unknown. Domestic listeners might know him from the popular soundtrack Křídla Vánoc, to which he contributed the song Towards The Sun. He is a passionate traveller, having spent time in Australia and New Zealand, where he gained experience and entertained random passers-by on city streets with his guitar. This year, he drew attention with the single Blind Man.
