Ask a scientist
The Ask a Scientist project has been answering any scientific and non-scientific questions from the lay public via social networks for several years.
Where did the salt in the sea come from?
Can a hedgehog wake up from hibernation early?
Is coffee really that unhealthy? What about sugar and alcohol?
At what distance is a nuclear explosion still dangerous?
Are we really living in the warmest period in history?
How much can we influence the genes of our offspring?
And are we alone in the universe?
If you ever wonder about these or similar questions, you are holding the right book in your hands. Renowned scientists presented their answers from a scientific perspective, but at the same time in a way that is readable and, most importantly, understandable to a wide audience. This is a selection of the 50 most interesting questions from all 1200 questions collected so far. They are divided into five thematic units focused on health, technology, nature and family. We called the last round of topics Pearls. The project always works with verified information. We love your questions, keep asking. You can use social networks or our website zeptejsevedce.cz for this.
And remember: “ There are no stupid questions. “
