Avoid cancer

The problem of cancer is still shrouded in a number of myths, misinterpretations, groping and uncritical reliance on new anti-cancer drugs. The most effective approach in the fight against cancer is, of course, prevention, the principles and possibilities of which should be understood and used in the interests of every citizen. An informative popular educational monograph, which would present the issues and offer of cancer prevention to the public in a comprehensive way, has been missing in our country so far. Author, based on its numerous media presentations, Words, press conferences and daily contact with patients and their relatives during his thirty years of practice at the Masaryk Cancer Institute, chose a free form of dialogue, answers to the most common questions, that are related to prevention, but also with the diagnosis and treatment of malignant tumours. The book is intended primarily for the general public, but it can also provide practical information for health professionals who are not directly involved in oncology, but are often asked about the prevention, diagnosis or treatment of malignant tumours.
