Baba of Ice - DVD

After meeting the ice swimmer Broňa (Pavel Nový), the widowed Hana (Zuzana Kronerová) slowly begins to change her stereotypical life, which until now has revolved exclusively around her sons (Marek Daniel, Václav Neužil), daughters-in-law (Petra Špalková, Tatiana Vilhelmová) and grandchildren. While the sixty-something Hana enjoys a new love story, the traditional weekend lunches at the family villa lose their idyllic charm as it gradually surfaces that each character has a secret of their own. Hana's unexpected ally becomes her grandson Ivánek, who has fallen in love not only with the quirky Broňa but also with his hen Adéla and the community of ice swimmers on the banks of the Vltava river.

This story, which uncovers the difficult relationships between three generations, offers hope that you can take life into your own hands at any age.
