Band of Heysek: Juke My Joint - LP

The band Band of Heysek recorded their new album in the USA directly in Mississippi with the local bluesman R. L. Boyce (nominated for a Grammy in 2017) and another local legend of the raw and authentic style of “ hill country blues “ with K enny Brown . Together during one long day, they recorded eight songs, all good old analog technique directly on tapes, live, all together.

The hypnotic rhythm and raw atmosphere of the recording after a few bars will engulf not only lovers of orthodox blues. When, in the fall of 2018, members of the Band Of Heysek accompanied the so-called Hill Country Blues at the Šumperk BluesAlive Festival, they were invited to the iconic North Mississippi Hill Country Picnic, directly in the rolling North Mississippi area, south of Memphis.

They combined this journey with other concerts and wandering through the cradle of the blues. The culmination was a joint recording in a studio in Water Valley with the contemporary icons of hill country blues and R. L. Boyce and Kenny Brown. An album straight from the blues heart of our planet.
