Bartošová Iveta: Knoflíky lásky / Greatest Hits 1984-2012 - CD

Fate gave Iveta Bartosová a humanly and artistically turbulent life, tragically ended, but admirably filled with music. This twenty-track compilation brings the best of the talented singer's career to life in a sonically perfect illustration. Her collaborator Pavel Vaculík, a composer who stood at the very beginning and end of her recording career, has selected images from almost three decades of albums and singles, placing the singer among the domestic elite. From the title duet with Petr Sepesi to the final Slovak folk song, there are clear reasons for the great popularity and stardom of this sympathetic and talented young woman. Vaculik, but also Karel Svoboda, Petr Hejduk, Frantisek Janecek, Michal Penk, Ondřej Soukup, Pavel Krejča and logically also Ladislav Štaidl offered strong melodies. The lyricists Eduard Pergner, Jan Krůta, Zdeněk Rytíř, Vladimír Kočandrle, Zdeněk Borovec and Pavel Vrba found the most suitable themes. Unfortunately, the singer was not only accompanied by her honeymoon days, but her songs about love have consistently appealed to many listeners who appreciate the quality of her likability and her distinctive vocal expression in the proven midstream repertoire. She would have been 55 years old this year.
