The sequel to Basic Czech I
The textbook is designed similarly to the previous volume. It consists of seven lessons and is methodologically based on a communicative and comparative approach. The basics of Czech grammar are gradually developed through the fluent and systematic acquisition of vocabulary and conversational phrases related to individual topics: daily routine, Shopping, celebration, housing, family, health and illness, appearance and character traits, fashion and clothing, etc. Clear tables allow the user to quickly memorize the material discussed.
The intermediary language (English) appears minimally and serves the function of concise explanatory notes. The textbook contains many funny dialogues. The textbook includes clear tables of Czech declension and verb valences, as well as a CD containing both texts and dialogues from Basic Czech I. Basic Czech II. corresponds to level A 2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
The second edition of the successful textbook series has been completely revised and corrected based on teaching experience.
