Beads on the heart

The author is an American Jesuit who has been blessed to work among young gang members in Los Angeles for more than thirty years. Father Greg is an excellent and witty storyteller, but above all, he is a man of God in the right place, radiating Christ's compassion and unconditional acceptance. He promotes the theory that violence and imprisonment have never reformed anyone, whereas love and acceptance have. The multitudes of transformed lives are proof that he knows what he is talking about and that the gospel is not a utopia.
