Bear 2 - DVD

For some teddy bears it's not enough that they can walk, talk, smoke and make love to busty blondes. Some even want to have a child of their own! The extremely successful comedy Bear demonstrated that when you are made of plush, nothing can stop you, at least in terms of humour.

The good, if perhaps slightly disturbing, news is that in the sequel, Ted Bear goes a few steps further, accompanied by his faithful sidekick Johnny, played by Mark Wahlberg. Good stories end with a wedding, ours begins with one. Tami-Lynn, a trim and blonde cashier, doesn't mind that her husband is hairy all over and is six feet shorter than her. He'd like to give her a baby in return, but technically. a stuffed animal and a human being. In the end, they opt for artificial insemination.

And at the moment when Ted, with Johnny's help, has the necessary sperm almost at his fingertips (or rather paws), the official shimmy decides that the bear from the toy store is not entitled to offspring. But Bear and Johnny are great friends, they're not afraid of anything, so they hire a lawyer (Amanda Seyfried). She's blonde, bespectacled, and she smokes a bit too, so she's generally likeable. The disparate threesome will take on a losing battle with such vigour that you won't be surprised. It may not help them win, but it will be fun.
