Beatles: Magical Mystery Tour (Remastered) – LP

The Beatles were an English rock 'n' roll band from Liverpool. The line-up featured John Lennon (vocals, rhythm guitar), Paul McCartney (vocals, bass guitar), George Harrison (lead guitar, vocals), and Ringo Starr (drums, occasional vocals). They are one of the most commercially successful and critically acclaimed bands in the history of popular music, and their music remains popular and widely played across the globe today. When the renowned music magazine Rolling Stone compiled its list of the greatest albums of all time in 2003, The Beatles claimed four spots in the top ten (including the number one spot for Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band).

According to the RIAA, which named them the best-selling band in US history based on American single and album sales, The Beatles are the most successful recording artists in the United States. In the UK, the band released more than 40 different singles and albums that topped the charts, a commercial success story repeated in many other countries. Their record label, EMI, estimated that they had sold over a billion records and cassettes worldwide by 1985. In 2004, Rolling Stone ranked The Beatles at number one on their list of the 100 greatest artists of all time. According to the magazine, their innovative music and cultural impact helped to define the 1960s, and their influence on popular culture remains clear to this day.

In the mid-1960s, The Beatles led the British Invasion of the United States. Although their early musical style was rooted in 1950s rock and roll and homegrown skiffle, the band experimented with many different genres, ranging from Tin Pan Alley to psychedelic rock. They set the trends of their era through their clothes, styles, and statements, while their growing interest in social issues influenced the social and cultural revolutions of the 1960s.
