Beatles: Please Please Me (Vinyl LP)(Remaster 2009) – LP

Please Please Me is the debut album by the Beatles, released on 22 March 1963 to quickly capitalise on the success of the singles Please Please Me (#1) and Love Me Do (#17). Of the fourteen songs on the record, eight were penned by the songwriting duo John Lennon and Paul McCartney.

In May 1963, the album reached the top of the UK charts and stayed there for thirty weeks until it was replaced by With the Beatles. This was highly unusual for the UK music market, as albums with film soundtracks and easy-listening songs typically dominated the top of the sales charts at the time.
In 2003, the album ranked 39th on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. It was the sixth of eleven Beatles albums to make the list, trailing behind Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, Revolver, Rubber Soul, The Beatles (The White Album) and Abbey Road.
Two tracks from Please Please Me, "I Saw Her Standing There" and "Please Please Me", are featured in the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time list.
