Benedikta: Punky Dumky - CD

The band is built upon a perfectly tight rhythm section (Vojta Douda – drums, Jaryn Janek – bass guitar). The band's distinctive sound is defined by the powerful and fearless vocals of Petra Váňová, who founded Benedikta years ago with her sister Michaela (violin). Marek Tran's guitar, at times sharp and at others gently wailing, infuses the band with a rock feel.

The sound is brilliantly completed by Víťa Halška's percussion and a one-man brass section (with Marek Prokop as a special guest on the album). The great feeling you get from Benedikta is underscored by the wonderful, rich sound created in one of the best Czech studios, Sono Records, under the production and sound engineering direction of Jaryn Janek and Milan Cimfe.
