A case full of mystical references and ciphers
Anyone can encounter something they do not want to believe or refuse to understand on principle. A similar situation triggers a sequence of events that leads to a further investigation of Chief Inspector Ledecky and his colleagues from the Bratislava Homicide Department.
A young woman takes advantage of an open day at the Regional Police Headquarters in Bratislava to report a murder. An ancient mystery and a corpse hidden in a stranger's grave should be reason enough to launch an investigation. The problem is that the information was obtained by the whistleblower from the victim only after her death and communication with the afterlife is not exactly the cup of coffee of any detective. But as it turns out, it is not so important what the cops believe, but what the killer is willing to believe. Jana Novotná, the only woman of Ledecky's team, will suffer a serious injury. The murder of the whistleblower and the serious injury of the policewoman are already more than a real reason to launch a manhunt.
Ledecky's vacation ends early and he has to take on a case full of mystical messages and ciphers. It is all the more difficult to solve the case the deeper its roots go into the past. Will he convince his superiors that his version of the investigation is the right one?
