Bílá, Lucie: Ta o mně - CD

Lucie Bílá on love and the joy of life – distinctively, emotionally, energetically and tenderly.

More than three years after the release of her album 'Hana', Lucie Bílá returned to the Littlebeat studio in Bratislava to record her new studio album, 'Ta o mně'. The final selection was made from over forty original songs, from which the producers and Lucie prepared twenty-three demos, with the thirteen best making it onto the album. Great care was taken not only with the music but, crucially, also with the lyrics.

The central theme is love in all its possible forms and the joy of life. Unlike the previous platinum-selling album 'Hana', the core songwriting team of Martin Šrámek, Andrej Hruška, and Katarína Knechtová has been expanded to include other renowned names.
Marek Ztracený is the author of the album's first two singles. These are the songs 'Mám ráda život' (I Love Life) and 'Protože' (Because), which was originally created as a birthday gift for Lucie Bílá's partner and has been successful not only on the radio but also on YouTube, where the music video has surpassed 1 million views.
Another new songwriting pillar of the album is the duo Jan Vávra and Jana Infeldová from the band Jananas, who were also behind last year's big hit 'Za 100 let' (In 100 Years). On the album 'Ta o mně', they contributed to songs filled with humour and hyperbole ('3 dny' and 'Cirkus bude') and also wrote the lyrics for the emotional track 'Domov' (Home), dedicated to Lucie Bílá's mother.
'Nadechnout' (Breathe In) was written and partly produced by Marcell – a singer, songwriter, and producer from the emerging new wave of domestic pop. The young Slovak singer Zuzana Mikulcová contributed the song 'Léto' (Summer), and the generationally kindred spirit Patricie Fuxová, known from her own project Vesna, provided the track 'Nevěřím' (I Don't Believe). The final, gentle lullaby 'Pojď klidně spát' (Come and Sleep Peacefully) is the result of a collaboration between Jana Kirschner and another representative of the younger generation, lyricist Petr Soukup.
