Bird flu

The hidden danger of a global bird flu pandemic still remains. According to experts, it is rather deepening due to the mutation of the relevant H5N1 virus. This situation is exaggerated by some, underestimated by others (mostly without professional knowledge). The author is a world-renowned expert in the field of virology who has personally contributed to and collaborated in many epidemiological virological investigations and discoveries. The book summarizes in an insightful way the existing knowledge, the previous epidemiological situation (in many countries and regions), the current situation and the possible problems that must arise in view of the proven progressive recombination of viruses. The publication is thus of importance for securing the National Pandemic Plan of the Czech Republic (in the development of which the author significantly collaborated). This applies not only to all components of the sanitary and epidemiological service in our country, but also to the entire health system in the field, as well as to government authorities at all levels and other components. After the author's death, the book was completed "up to date" by experts of the State Institute of Health.
