Birdman - Blu-ray

The black comedy tells the story of actor Riggan Thomson ( Michael Keaton ), who in the past became famous as the film character of the cult bird superhero Birdman, and is now struggling to make his theatrical debut on Broadway.

Riggan hopes that if he succeeds as a director and actor in a new ambitious show, he will revive his declining career. In many ways, this is a risky move. But the former movie superhero has high hopes that he will finally gain recognition as an artist and prove to everyone, including himself, that he has not yet been written off. The premiere is slowly approaching when the title character in his play is injured during the rehearsal under strange circumstances and needs to be replaced quickly. Based on the recommendations of lead actress Lesley (Naomi Watts) and at the urging of Riggan' s best friend and producer Jake (Zach Galifianakis), Riggan is reluctant to accept Mike Shiner (Edward Norton), who is a completely uncontrolled missile. But Mike is a guarantee that the show will sell out and garner praise from critics. In addition to the preparations for the premiere, Riggan has to deal with his girlfriend and actress in the supporting role, Laurou (Andrea Riseborough), with his daughter Sam (Emma Stone), who has just undergone addiction treatment and now works for him as a personal assistant, and also with ex-wife Sylvia (Amy Ryan), which appears behind the scenes from time to time.
