Black Peter (DIGITALLY RESTAURED FILM) - Blu-ray

The feature-length debut from Miloš Forman and a legendary work of the Czechoslovak New Wave in a digitally restored version.
This humorous look into the daily lives of young people in the 1960s remains a sharp sociological study of intergenerational relationships, as well as an artistically valuable synthesis of European film modernism with local “laughing culture”.

DIGITALLY RESTORED FILM
Digital restoration is a frame-by-frame enhancement of a film, allowing you to see and hear it just as audiences did when it was first released.
The digital enhancement process begins with scanning the film in 4K resolution. This is done on special equipment with registration pins to ensure maximum image stability. This is followed by the removal of visual and audio imperfections in two phases – first semi-automatically, and then manually, cleaning frame by frame.
