Blackfield: For The Music - CD

For The Music is the sixth album by the English duo Blackfield, released in 2020, on which Israeli singer Aviv Geffen takes the lead role, as he has done in the past. The recording is available on CD, classic black LP (0190295139803), and as a limited edition on coloured vinyl (0190295139780).

Blackfield is a collaborative musical project between the English musician and founder of Porcupine Tree, Steven Wilson, and the Israeli rock singer Aviv Geffen. Under the name Blackfield, they have released six albums together. The duo created their first two records, Blackfield and Blackfield II, as equal partners, whereas the third and fourth, Welcome to my DNA and Blackfield IV, were primarily the work of Geffen, who took on the main role, writing all but one of the songs on the albums and handling most of the vocals. Despite originally announcing his intention to leave the project in 2014, Wilson instead worked as an equal partner on the fifth album, Blackfield V, which was released in 2017. Their sixth record, For the Music, was released at the end of 2020, with Geffen once again taking the lead.
